Recently we witness the long awaited coronation of Lebron. I'm not sure if he will be able to fulfill the "not 1, not 2, not 3...." statement....but he at least got the initial one off the board. I openly rooted for the modern day athlete who had the opportunity to go to a better situation for less money (all things considered of course). The talks of former greats such as Jordan/Bird/Magic who said they would never join forces with other greats fall on deaf ears. A quick glance at their rosters are indicative that they never needed to leave their respective teams to play with greats as they already had future hall of famers on the current roster. Lebron made the right "decison" and it quickly paid off.
That leaves the current list of players who deserve a championship at 1:
Steve Nash (who has an outside chance of joining the heat next year).
There is also a small list of players who currently or will soon "need" a championship to validate their great careers:
Carmelo
Chris Paul
Amare
Dwight Howard
Following the championship, the big 3 celebrated as expected. Wade flashed 2 fingers constantly to let everybody, and probably Lebron too, know that this was his 2nd championship. Lebron hugged the trophy like he was reunited with his child that had been on the side of a milk carton for 2 years and Chris bosh....well he went head first into the suspect realm as seen in this video
Best dunk that nobody saw (video)....probably because you couldn't identify the dunker or the contest (this was the first dunk in the competition....I would have been in my car by the time the scores were shown if I were participating)
JUST IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING.....Eurocup Semifinals starts today. Do with that information what you will.
Players to watch include:
Portugal - Christiano Ronaldo (Forward)
Spain - David Silva (Midfield)
Germany - Mario Gomez (Forward)
Italy - Mario Balotelli (Forward)
