Seasons greetings and Happy New Year to all who made it to 2013.  The Mayan apocalypse couldn't save you from an early rendition of uselessful information for your perusal.  I coasted the last few weeks of the season...partly due to my less than stellar performance in fantasy football this season coupled with the bless you boys (Saints) being eliminated from playoff contention.  I know, this shouldn't affect my day to day operations but it did...sue me *wipes tear*

On to the task at hand.  Wild Card Weekend (arguably the best weekend of Football) is upon us.  My take it to the bank predictions are as follows:

Cincinnati Bengals (+4.5) at Houston Texans (-4.5)

Cincy is coming in to this game winning 7 out of their last 8.  The Texans have lost 3 of their last 4 to go from the 1st seed with a bye to the 3rd seed and playing this weekend.  I'm a little salty because I've lost money (if gambling were legal) on them the past few weeks.  Elite qbs eat that defense for breakfast...fortunately Andy "The Red Rifle" Dalton is not in that category.  I'll take the Texans to win but will take Cincy against the Spread. (It should also be noted this is my potential upset special....I just haven't talked myself completely into it yet)

Minnesota Vikings (+8) at Green Bay Packers (-8)

Adrian Peterson (who's nickname is AD for All Day as opposed to AP, which bothers me) has been running like a man possessed...or at least a man on HGH this season.  *not an accusation fyi*.  Unfortunately for him, Christian Ponder is still his quarterback and they'll be playing in arctic like weather.  AD finished a few yards short of the all-time rushing record and his team will fall short against the G.B.  Packers win and give me the +8 for Minny.

Indianapolis Colts (+6.5) at Baltimore Ravens (-6.5)

This should be the inspirational bowl.  The Colts have been on the Chuck Strong bandwagon all year and Ray Lewis has announced his retirement following this season.  Both have had minimal impact DIRECTLY on their team's success....considering that, I'll take the veteran team at home (Ravens) and  for them to cover the spread.  (I'll go out on a limb and say that Luck will have his worst game as a pro this game).

Seattle Seahawks (-3) at Washington Redskins (+3)

The Seahawks represent the only team favored to win on the road in the opening round.  Russel...last name...Wilson is balling right now.  That's important because the QB position is potentially their only weakness.  RGIII and his braids will be going fishing after this weekend.  Seahawks to win and cover

Summary for the Gamblers
Houston to win, Cincy +4.5
Green Bay to win, Minny +8
Baltimore to win, Baltimore -6.5
Seattle to win, Seattle -3
Bonus (Nat'l Champ): Alabama to win, N.D. +9

This video shows you exactly why there are different Classes in high school sports.  It also shows you a good reason to ask out of the game...the sport...and potentially to be home-schooled (unless you were the dunker)

In a recent bowl game, Michigan thought they were driving late in the 4th quarter to put the game away.  Clowney politely stepped in to let them know $#!t just got real

Lastly, I'm not sure what Rex Ryan was smoking just before he got this tattoo, but I'm certain it'll be in a rap song sooner than later.  It's either his wife...in a Sanchez jersey...tebowing...or his wife..in a Sanchez jersey...ready for, well never mind

  2. Based on record and seeding only....based on the last month of play, not so much
