I'll go on the record and admit that this years MLB Playoffs has been one of the best in recent memory...at least that's what I keep hearing. I don't recall ever getting this many "did you just see that" texts in years prior. I tuned in to watch the opening game of the World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers to try and see what all the hype was about. It should be noted that by tuned in...I really mean I flipped back and forth between the game and Survivor on DVR until the 8th inning and it was still close so I watched from then on. My lasting impression of the game, ironically, was questioning why we need refs/umpires in baseball. There isn't that much going on and with the pitch tracker and "hot spot" camera that debuted, I don't see the need for some potbellied bloke calling balls and strikes. I'm almost certain that's not MLB's goal.
What's wrong with this sentence? (aside from the incorrect punctuation and structure) Donovan McNabb was traded WITHIN the division from the Eagles to the Redskins...benched for Rex Grossman (who just got benched for Jon Beck), traded to the Vikings and subsequently benched for rookie Christian Ponder. Next Stop: Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio
I texted you a few times about the world series but you were to busy coughing up hair balls due to what you was eating on. Why does baseball have so many over weight players anyway? The umpires are there just to kick up mess, throw their weight around, and throw players and coaches out the game for no reason. I really thought McNabb had one more good season in him but it doesn't look like. It might takes him a lil longer to get in since he didn't win a ring even doe he was the offense since he been there and never had help except for westbrock
ReplyDeleteWell, it seems as though shots have been fired. I'm actually rooting for the rangers to win because of their skipper Ron Washington. Good to see franchises get their first championship. The more I think about it the more I don't think mcnabb is a hall of fame quarterback. He's borderline, but that ain't good enough!

I wanted the brewers to win so that Ricky would be the first jag that I know to win a mlb championship. Speaking of which did you see or did mama Carter tell you and the brawl? I don't understand su has been losing alot of close games. My thing is if you have energy to fight You had enough energy to finish the game. As far as mcnabb he was the closes thing to Doug Williams to be another African American to win the. Superbowl that why I always rooted for him when he did make it to the playoffs. He got them to the playoffs every year but was one finger tip away from the top of the mountain and planting the flag. But I guess he benefited more from Andy than Andy did from him.

ReplyDeleteNothing is "special" about him per say. He would be the first minority of a certain descent to manage an MLB team to the championship. I think Cito Gaston was the last one back in 92. He's also a native of my home state. Tis all...not like he was a cog in the cure for nasal cancer by doing piles of the white stuff.
